BCA APPEAL FOR ASSISTANCE: Bush Church Aid is funding a couple to work as mission facilitators in the Longreach-Barcaldine community. Our Parish Op Shop gave $1,000 towards this project and there have been additional donations. A BCA representative attended our Woodford service on 13 Dec for the presentation of the cheque & to tell us about their work.
USED STAMPS for ABM: At Synod, Rev'd Ken Spreadborough, Chair of the Australian Board of Mission's Brisbane Diocesan Committee told us of the worthwhile work of ABM (working for love, hope and justice) and the great assistance of the funds ($5,000 a year) generated from used stamps. A labelled envelope has been placed at the front of the church - please collect your used stamps and place them in this envelope to be forwarded to ABM to assist them in their work.
ARCHBISHOP’S NOVEMBER APPEAL for ABM: This year the appeal will support the work of Nungalinya College
in Darwin and Wontulp-Bi-Buya College in Cairns. These colleges seek to develop Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander church and community leaders focussing on theological and ministry education.
In addition they run courses in literacy, numeracy, computer skills, cross cultural awareness, community development and mental health.
There are envelopes on the table near the front door of the church or see Rev Jilleen for a donation envelope.

Going for Growth Prayer
(A prayer for the Anglican Church in Southern Q’land)
Living God, creator, redeemer, strengthener:
enliven, guide and strengthen your church in all you send us to do.
By your Holy Spirit enable us to grow - in faith, in service, in generous giving
and add to your church new disciples that your saving, reconciling,
recreating work may go forward through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
